Fact Checking Policy

Why Fact-Checking Matters to Us

Let’s face it: The internet is full of hot takes, hype, and “experts” who promise the moon. At Bernini Capital, we’d rather be boringly honest than recklessly wrong. That’s why every stock, ETF, and crypto forecast we publish goes through a triple-check process. No guesswork. No shortcuts. Just facts, data, and a healthy dose of skepticism.

How We Fact-Check: Our 3-Step Rule

  1. Source Like a Detective
    • We pull data from trusted exchanges (Coinbase, NYSE, Nasdaq, Market Watch, Stock Analysis, Yahoo Finance), regulatory filings, and on-chain analytics (for crypto).
    • If a “news tip” sounds too wild, we verify it with three independent sources before it touches a forecast.
  2. Humans > Algorithms
    • Our A.I. crunches numbers, but people make the call. Analysts review every prediction for bias, outliers, and “too good to be true” patterns.
    • Example: If our model says “Bitcoin to $200k next month!” but trading volumes don’t back it up? We hit pause.
  3. Track Record Transparency
    • We publish our accuracy rates quarterly. Got a bad call? We’ll explain why it happened and what we learned.

Our Fact-Checking Red Flags

We kill forecasts if we spot:
🔴 Pump-and-dump vibes: Sudden spikes with no real-world cause.
🔴 Conflict of interest: Does a team member own this stock/crypto? We’ll say so upfront.
🔴 Outdated data: Crypto moves in minutes. We refresh feeds hourly.

Where We Get Our Data

  • Stocks/ETFs: SEC filings, Bloomberg Terminal, earnings call transcripts.
  • Crypto: CoinGecko, Etherscan, DEX liquidity pools, and real trading volume (not fake exchange numbers).
  • Macro Trends: Fed reports, inflation data, and global news vetted by our team.

Fun fact: We once delayed a Tesla forecast because Elon Musk tweeted a meme. Turns out, it mattered.

When We’re Wrong (Yes, It Happens)

In 2021, we predicted Dogecoin would drop… then it rallied 300% in a week (thanks, Elon). Here’s what we did:

  1. Published a “We Messed Up” analysis within 24 hours.
  2. Updated our models to factor in social media mania.
  3. Gave subscribers a free guide: “How to Spot Meme Coins Before They Boom (or Bust).”

Mistakes suck, but hiding them is worse.

How to Fact-Check Us

We want you to question us. Here’s how:

  • Compare Sources: Links to all data sources are in every forecast report.
  • Check Dates: Crypto predictions expire fast—we timestamp every update.
  • Ask Us Anything: Hit reply on any forecast email. Our team responds within 24 hours.

Our Fact-Check Promise

  1. No Paid Promotions: We’ll never take cash to hype a stock or coin.
  2. No Delete Button: If a forecast ages badly, we’ll mark it “outdated” but won’t hide it.

Disclaimer: Forecasts are not financial advice. Markets change fast—always verify independently.
